Week 1, June 5th-9th: Star Light, Star Bright

Stars aren't just for wishing! This week you'll learn all about the sun, our nearest star, and the millions of far-away specks of light you see when you look up on a clear night. Find out what’s twinkling, and what's not, and learn where the stars go during the day. A trip to our FullDome planetarium theater will make this an out-of-this-world experience!

Week 2, June 12th-16th: The Amazing World of Eric Carle

Explore nature through Eric Carle’s colorful books. Learn what caterpillars really eat, how chameleons change color, how tiny seeds grow into tall trees, and whether you can really reach the moon by ladder.

Week 3, June 19th-23rd: Under the Sea

Dive in and learn about animals that live in the deep blue sea, including fish, turtles, urchins and sea stars. Even though we're miles away from the ocean, you will have the opportunity to meet some of these creatures up close in Flandrau’s Marine Discovery Lab.

Week 4, June 26th-30th: Dino-Might

Dinosaurs didn’t disappear without a trace. They left behind tons of clues in the form of fossils. Find out about fossilized bones, dinosaur tracks, eggs and all the other pieces of evidence that teach us about a dinosaur’s life. We'll discover how dinosaurs lived while hunting for clues in the Museum's Fossil Corner.

Week 5, July 5th-7th (3 Day Week): Slimy Science

Slime, Oobleck and Goo make this camp icky and sticky. Learn about the properties of matter as we explore solids, liquids and gases. Mix, feel, and transform these substances into slimy creations of your own!

Week 6, July 10th-14th: Insect Patrol

Did you know there are more insects on the planet than humans? Grab your nets, bug jars, and magnifying glasses to learn about some of nature's smallest crawling, creeping and flying friends as we explore the world of insects in our Insect Discovery Lab.
